We're thrilled to confirm your Rolfing Myofascial Release or Sports Massage session with us. To make the most of your upcoming session, here are some essential preparations and considerations:

  • For optimal results, it is recommended to have a session of at least 90 minutes to allow the body to receive deeper work and create lasting changes and integration.

  • A single session of myofascial release therapy can bring lasting relief, but it will only improve the condition by 5% to 25%. Multiple sessions are usually required to feel like the problem is fixed. Adhesions build up over time, so it takes time and patience to address them.

  • After a few sessions, we can move on to other areas that you may feel discomfort in. People usually only experience one area of pain at a time, so as we address the chronic issues, other areas may surface. We listen to your body, which is much more intelligent than we are. During the course of multiple sessions, we will address the issues in the order that your body is asking us to.

    Arrival: Please arrive at least 5 minutes early to fill out any necessary paperwork and to start relaxing before your session.

    What to Wear:

    Comfort is key for a Rolfing-Myofascial Release or Sports Massage session. We recommend wearing soft, stretchable clothing that allows for easy movement and access to the skin. For men, shorts or a swimsuit are ideal, and for women, a two-piece swimsuit or sports bra and shorts are ideal. The clothing should not be too thick, as your Rolfer will need to work directly on your skin.

    Before Your Session:

    • Hydration is crucial. Drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your appointment.

    • Try to avoid heavy meals at least two hours before your session.

    • If you have any medical conditions or concerns, please inform us before your appointment. This includes any injuries, sensitivities, or areas that require special attention.

    During Your Session: Your therapist will guide you through the process, focusing on releasing tension and improving alignment through deep tissue manipulation and movement education. Feel free to communicate openly about your comfort and any sensations you experience throughout the session.

    After Your Session: It's normal to feel a mix of relaxation and rejuvenation, along with possible soreness similar to a workout. Continue to stay hydrated and give your body time to adapt to the changes. We recommend avoiding strenuous activities for at least 24 hours after your session.

    Cancellation Policy: Please let us know at least 48 hours in advance if you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment to avoid any cancellation fees.
